Location: San Benedicto Island, El Canyon, .21′ of lava finger in 78′ water.
Weather: Sunshine with partial cloud 3/10 , Wind increasing from 5 NW at sunrise to 10-12NW at noon.

Sea calm increasing to 1-2′ wind chop. Diving : Dive 1, Simply amazing, the full ensemble of big animals! DM Jesse ” Best dive of my season!” Back deck dive with mild SW current and 35-40 M vis. 26C water temp. Everything was present including large school of hammerheads, 2 mantas, pods of dolphins , then a whale shark followed by 5 or 6 large galapagos, as well as silkies. The guests response ranged from suprised to elated, and quote ” thats setting the bar pretty high.” Between dives a travelling Humpback whale passed close by the vessel allowing our divers a fairly good view as it proceeded northbound. Dive 2 was also great, however current visibly increased to SW. We conducted skiff load and unload briefing and dropped our groups up current near manta rock. The divers again had fantastic exposure to schooling hammerheads a well silkies and galapagos. We intend to continue to dive the canyon location, this afternoon using the skiffs to spread out and explore the site. Tonight we will run for Cabo Pearce. Weather is forcast to be windy northerly so we hope to find some lee and conduct taco night tomorrow night.
All guests and crew are very happy!
