Captains Noon Report – Explorer – 2019-04-09

Location: Roca Partida, anchored .15′ to SE,
10 Wind_ light airs from dawn until noon. Seas_ greasy, long ocean swell 3-6′

Diving : Both Dives today were amazing! Water temperature was 24C visibility ranged beteen 15-20M and improved to 30-40M on second Dive. Roca Partida is Sharkie, with all groups experiencing schooling hammerheads, witnessed a group of 8 large Galapagos hunting, reef sharks on the balcony, ever present silkies. Roca is also coming through with Mantas, up to two interacting with the divers at the end of the second dive, and glimpses of them on the first. With a minimal current, great weather, and a plethora of marine life the guests are very happy. Yesterday afternoon at Punta Tosca did not disappoint, there were several hammerheads, and a friendly manta, but today’s action makes yesterday seem a distant memory. The silkie snorkel in turtle bay went off without a hitch and the snorkelers really enjoyed the experience. We will continue to enjoy Roca for two more dives this afternoon, and depart this evening for the Boiler. All guests are happy.
