Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2019-04-30

Location: Anchored at El Fondeadero ( south of San Benedicto Island )

Weather: Winds 15-20 kt NW Seas: 1-2 ft NW, a little wind from the NW and sunny sky. The temperature of the water is around 23 degrees, and the visibility moves between 15 and 20 meters. Currents are medium from N to S.

We are on the first day. The guests are making their first swim from the boat to check their gear, weights etc… some dolphins came to find them when they jumped in the water. That’s not a bad check dive! On the second dive of the day, they saw a group of 3 black mantas, happy dolphins playing around, and silver tips sharks. During the safety stop, they had a visit from a Galapagos shark!!
