Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2019-05-16

Location: El Fondeadero – South of San Benedicto Island

Weather: Winds: 5-8 kt NW Waves: calm in the bay Visibility: 25 meters Water temperature: 23 degrees. No currents

We are anchored at El Fondeadero. Here we made our check dive this morning. The dives weren’t the best, but they saw a few silver tips and also a big manta. As we already know, mother nature always has something prepared, and then the thing was much better. In the second dive, at El Canyon, our group of divers saw a big black manta and chevron for the whole dive. Galapagos were also swimming, a few hammerheads really close to them, silver tips, and a turtle in the surface swimming with happiness. Another great thing is that we are alone in the bay and the weather is great. All of us are more relaxed. Today we were going to stay here and maybe tomorrow head to El Boiler to make the last 2 dives. All the divers are excited and that is all we want!
