Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2019-05-21

Status:At Anchor at Cabo Pearce 100 ft depth

Today at Cabo Pearce. Two morning dives, started slow and getting better. First dive there was had medium to strong current going north and with a visibility of around 45-50 ft. Only one group could see a group of 4-6 dolphins passing by in the distance. The rest of divers saw 1 Galapagos shark and 2 silvertips. By the second dive current was mild to south and visibility got a little better, 60-65 ft. This time dives got better, 4 Hammerheads, a couple of Galapagos, silvertips and couple of silkies, clarion angel fish, and reef fish. One of the groups saw dolphins but this time closer. No Mantas today so far. Yesterday at Punta Tosca, guests saw a couple of silvertips and one Galapagos shark. After that we moved to Old man of the rock, there was a mild current to north, vis was a little bit better than Punta Tosca 40 ft. where we saw juvenile Glapagos sharks, sting rays and reef fish. AS soon as we finished there, we went to navy base for check in, all good. And we end at Cabo Pearce for silky snorkel.
