Captain’s Noon Report – Undersea – 2019-08-04

Location: anchor at Guadalupe Island in 243 ft depth. Lat 29 08.89N Long 118 16.98W

Weather: Calm winds and seas. Clear sunny sky. Vis 100+ft, water temp 20C. No Current.

Arrived Yesterday at 22:30 hrs and as soon we were at anchor we deployed the cages in the water, just a couple of guests were watching it. Today we started with a cloudy and chilly morning, but divers didn’t care about that because they were ready to jump in the water. As soon as we thrown the first bait, a big male shark showed up and we recognized right away, Luca Arnone. Luca has been here the whole morning, so shark action has been great. Another 3 sharks were around, 2 males and one female , making the first dive morning great. Around 11 am clouds dissipated to let the sun shine on the dive site, is still cloudy around the island. Visibility has been great this morning being able to see the anchor chain from the cages. Water temp 20 C and no current, winds are calm and seas has been flat. Looking forward to see how is the action the rest of the day and to finish with taco night. Guests and crew doing great.
