Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2019-08-12

Location: Guadalupe Island, .15 nm from shore
Weather: 100’ visibility, 70 degree water on the surface
Status: Anchored in front of the Monkey’s Face in 250’ of water

The action continued to be great for the rest of the day yesterday. During Shark ID we identified, the Joker, Andy, and Mike. Trivia night was excellent, as was Chase the Ace. With Pedro as master of ceremonies the laughter was non-stop. Surface conditions are perfect, with sunny skies, no wind, and calm seas. The action has been intense this morning with very fast approaches to the bait. Sgt Peppers has shown up and there is an unidentified Juvenile that is super quick and has been quite successful taking baits. Unfortunately we will be heading back to Ensenada this afternoon, we’re sad to see this group go.
