Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2019-08-16

Location: 12 nm from shore swinging over 200′ of water
Weather: Overcast skies, calm, visibility is good at around 80′. Water temp is still around 19-20 degrees (67-69.)
Status: Anchored at Guadalupe Island

Yesterday the shark action continued to be awesome with a very round female that we were unable to identify stealing the show. Luca Arnone was the only shark identified last night although we had 5 or 6 different ones around the boat. Today the action has been sporadic and overall quite slow. We have a couple of sharks around but they are staying much deeper than the submersibles and only coming up occasionally straight from the bottom and taking the bait.
