Captain’s Noon Report – Nautilus Under Sea – 2019-09-23

Location: Lat 29 07.80N Long 118 17.00W
Weather: Water Vis 80-90ft, water temp 20C.
Status: At anchor at Guadalupe Island in 255 ft depth

Clear sunny skies with calm winds and sea. Mild Current to South. Arrived last night at Guadalupe after a nice and smooth ride from Ensenada. As soon as we were at anchor, we started to put the cages in the water. Everyone had a calm and good night. This morning started cutting tuna and it didn’t take too long for the first shark to show up. It has been a good morning with round of 7-8 different sharks. There was a moment when at surface action calmed down, but in submersible cages were around 4 different sharks. Action on surface is getting better now. Luca Arnone, Rhett, Doug and Nelson are some of the sharks identified so far. Looking forward for a great afternoon.
