Captain’s Noon Report – Nautilus Belle Amie – 2019-09-26

Weather: winds light and variable, seas calm. Temp 20-21 C.
Status: Anchored at monkey face

Swell nil, overcast in the AM, opening up now. It has been a very slow day at the surface today. We have had them coming up to the bait, but very rarely. However, when they do come up, they are coming up with explosive speeds and getting half breaches almost every time. It is incredible to see the power of these sharks when they do that. The viz is down to 50-60 ft. It seems to be plankton that is causing the bad viz as well as a complete lack of current. Everyone is still having a great time, just waiting for the next breach.
