Status: At San Benedicto, The Canyon

We arrived last night at San Benedicto around 12:30 AM. It was a calm night on the south side of the island. Today we started our first dive at 8:30 AM as there were two boats ahead of us. The first dive was good for a check dive, and the divers didn’t have big issues with the buoyancy. It was a shark show for the first dive, Silvertips, Reef whitetips, Galapagos, a big one and Hammerheads. The first divers saw single hammerhead near the receiver and then a school of around 25 hammerheads appeared, it was an amazing first dive. The second dive was more of the same but no Hammerheads this time. Instead, one playful Chevron Manta stayed with the divers the whole dive. Divers are happy and it’s just the first day.
