Dive Report, Nautilus Explorer

Starting my 4th trip this Socorro season at El Canyon which has been a very hot spot lately. But it is the ocean, and we never know when animals will change behavior and could become harder to spot them, but not this time! The cleaning station was on fire: Galapagos, silvertips and oceanic black tip sharks swimming around the rock! A little bit more to the south we had about 5 huge hammerhead females swimming very close to the divers for more than 10 minutes. But that was not it. A big (at least 5 mts) black manta came to say hello among the divers for about 15 minutes. Later in the dive we started to go shallower because we were running out of bottom time and went into the blue a little bit having a very nice encounter with a school of about 20-25 hammerheads that were very relax swimming in circles! Very good starting day!
