Dive Report, Nautilus Explorer

We are wrapping up a truly amazing trip in Socorro islands on the Nautilus Explorer. Our first day was amazing with the biggest school of hammerheads I have ever seen at the Canyon. It was easily between 50 and 100 possibly more shadows behind the ones that came close. As they got more comfortable with our presence they kept circling closer and closer! Other groups also spotted a tiger shark the first day as well. Roca Partida and Socorro were average so we made the decision to come back to the Canyon and it paid off big time! On the first dive of the morning we had a very friendly manta who stayed with us for over 30 minutes while we observed dolphins and sharks hunting together and the manta circling overhead. It was incredible! Can’t wait to come back!
