Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2020-02-07

Location: Anchored at Cabo Pearce, Socorro Island

Weather: Partly sunny skies 10-12 knots N wind and N windswell 4-5′. Light current to the north.

It was blowing 20 knots this morning and rough on the dive site, but now things are calming down. We had two beautiful dives this morning with 76 degree water and 60′ visibility. First dive we had dolphins and mantas. On the second it was mantas for everyone with some close encounters with hammerheads. We are going to do one more dive here before heading to the Navy inspection and on to Tosca for the Silky snorkel. Tomorrow we will try the west side of Socorro Island.
