Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2020-02-23

Location: Lat N 18 46.55, Long W 110 54.55, Socorro island; cabo pearce

Weather: Winds N 20-24 kts, wind swell N 4-6 ft. Sunny day with some cirrus.

Yesterday the last two dives were in the boiler, third dive light current to the NW, visibility around 25 mts, and temperature around 22-23 C, good manta action with 4 chevron mantas,galapagos, silver tips and some white tips, the last dive with current medium to NW, visibility around 20 mts, and 22 C, no mantas on the last dive, galapagos, silvertips, white tips and black tips. Today we start first here in cabo pearce good dives at the moment, first dive light current to the SW, visibility around 25-30 mts, temperature 76 F, 3-4 mantas super close to the divers, one dolphin for a few minutes, one hammer some white tips and silkies and a big school of bait with tunas and silkies. The second dive was also better, at least 5 mantas, 3 chevron 2 blacks, 6 dolphins with a baby, silvertips, white tips, one hammer head and one of the guests on the distance could see a humpback whale shape. Lets see what else have cabo pearce for us.
