Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2020-03-02

Location: The Boiler
Weather: Winds NW 8-10 knots, Swell NW 2-4 ft, Visibility 100 ft, Water Temperature 23°C, Current mild toward the north-east
Status: The Boiler

Yesterday afternoon we dove at the Canyon and the Lava Flow. The dives were a little quiet, not as good as they were in the morning. Last night we had a great taco night and spent the night anchored in the bay close to the Boiler. Diving has been great today! We have lots of great manta action right now, plus some hammerheads, blacktips, dolphins, wahoo, and tuna. We also have several whales around the area today including some mom and calf pairs putting on some nice breaching shows. Planning two more dives here at the Boiler and departing for Socorro Island (Cabo Pierce) around 1730 hrs after dive 4.
