Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2020-03-06

Location: Roca Partida
Weather: Mostly sunny skies, Winds NE 5-10 knots, Current light going to the west, Visibility 100’+, Water Temperature 74 F
Status: Anchored at Roca Partida

Yesterday the current was strong until the last dive. On the last dive, we had a large group of silver tips and an amazing show of tuna spawning. Today, the current is much lighter and the swell is far smaller. We had lots of Galapagos sharks, some hammerheads and many tunas. The whale song has been strong on the dives and at the moment most of the guests are in the inflatables seeing if they can get a closer look at two humpbacks that are breaching nearby.
