Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie

Location: Currently at South end of Sacramento Reef
Weather: Wind is light, Swell WNW 3′, Sky is overcast, Visibility 10-12 m, Water Temperature 14 C
Status: Overnight going to San Martin area

We arrived around 1300hrs after a decent Northbound transit, overall it was a comfortable ride overnight. Our entertainment included a Shark 101 presentation and a trivia contest yesterday afternoon. We just finished our first dive of the day a short while ago. The dive was good and the kelp area we found close to the reef was pretty long, reaching the surface but not super thick. We saw lots of colourful fish, especially sheepshead. The next dive this afternoon we’ll try a different site closer to the shallow rocks of the reef.
