Captain’s Noon Report – Gallant Lady – 2020-10-17

Location: Isla San Marcos, Punta Gorda, Punta Pescadero

Weather: light breeze, sunny, small 1-2ft swell

Status: Average water temp. 75F, visibility 50 ft.

The diving at Punta Pescadero yesterday afternoon was nice, with 2 frog fish, jawfish, blennies, and barracuda. Water temp was 75F and current was mild to moderate. We arrived to the west side of San Marcos this morning and did our first two dives on the rocks at the North point. Both dives were really good with loads of king angels, barracuda, stingrays, morays and various other fish. Temp was 79-80F and viz around 50ft. During lunch we re-positioned the boat to the opposite side of the island and are now anchored on the east side near Punta Gorda and plan to dive that point, which will be exploratory for us. Topside today it’s beautiful, light breeze, sunny with a small 1-2′ swell.
