Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2020-10-28

Location: Magdalena Bay

Status: Visibility 60ft, water temperature 73F

We are 10 miles from shore, somewhere in front of Magdalena bay. It is a beautiful day and the wind has come down a lot since this morning. The ocean is flatter and the sun is shinning. As I write this, a pod of bottle nose dolphins is playing with the bow waves of the explorer, around us there has to be at least 25 boats, the action today is wild and guests are loving it. They have already seen marlins hunting on the bait ball, a fin whale, a school of mobulas, the dolphins, wahoos, and sea lions!! Visibility is good today at 60 ft with more in some of the sites. Ocean is 73F degrees – guests are coming shivering and thanking that hot cocoa cup the hostesses offer when they come back up.
