A true exploratory trip with the Nautilus Explorer into Magdalena Bay. It was the trip of not only the sea lions, dolphins and Marlins but also wrecks, a seamount and kelp forest diving. The trip was a great combination of diving and racing around in the local Panga’s from guys (experts) that would come from Magdalena bay every day and take us to look for the birds that would lead us to bait balls hopefully. The last day we finally managed to get a good look of a bait ball full of sea lions and marlin hunting until it was finished. We saw a lot of dolphins and sea lions every day and marlin for short bursts underwater and jumping high out of the water daily. Another highlight of the trip was a deep dive on a seamount that had not been dived before, huge schools of fish, bat rays, huge sea bass and much more. The crew was fantastic, very attentive and great food. I will be back for more adventures in the future! – Thomas
