Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2021-02-11

Location: Today we are at the Boiler.

Weather: Wind is from the nnw, ranging between 10 and the occasional 20 kts. Mostly cloudy today.

We spent the night at the Canyon last night after an incredible first day of diving and a delicious taco night! We had schooling hammerheads on all our dives at the canyon yesterday, plus a couple mantas, and our photo pro David and his photo student saw a whaleshark on the last dive! Not close enough for a picture though. Today at the Boiler the first dive was incredible, dolphins the whole dive, plus several mantas around. Dive 2 the dolphins stuck around and most people had some more time with them, plus a couple mantas showed up half way through the dive. It was quite choppy out there this morning so after the first dive we moved into the little bay for some shelter and the boarding is much more comfortable. Underwater the current is mild, very little surge, viz 80ft, water temp 23C. Two more dives here today then heading for Cabo Pearce tonight. All guests and crew doing great!
