Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2021-02-23

Location: Anchored at The Boiler,

Status: 4 shackles of chain in the water

This morning was a warm morning with a partially clouded sky with a northern breeze of 2-4 Kts of intensity and a swell from NNW of 4-6 ft, clouds dissipated during the morning. The first dive, dropped the divers north of the Boiler rock, no giant mantas showed up, just few sharks, and a couple of dolphins for one group, viz was poor around 30-50 ft had no current and no issues. In between dives we had a couple of humpback whales playing around and breaching quite a lot, often simultaneously, guests were very happy about that! The second dive we dropped the divers in the same spot as the first dive, divers encountered hammerheads, big Galapagos sharks and a couple of giant mantas. The mantas were friendly and everyone came back super happy. Viz was a little better on dive 2. All the guests are having a great time.
