Leaving the back deck of the Belle Amie, the skiffs run their engines and everyone starts to feel excited. We had three great dives today but there was something special about this one. The water temperature dropped slightly and we began to feel a chill of adrenaline – something amazing was about to happen.
As we descended, we could see the famous white tip sharks stacked on the balcony; they were resting like babies. The visibility was great as we began to head south along Roca Partida. The light current helps us along our way and allows the dive to go smoothly. Out of nowhere, there was a huge school of Galapagos sharks, schools of jacks and tuna surrounding us. I turned around and there was a pod of dolphins that joined our group. Definitely an amazing trip!
