We got to see three very friendly manta rays and our guests were more than respectful with them, keeping their distance and allowing the manta rays to come close and swim around us. The mantas kept circling us and checked out each diver… just ‘wow’.
On the last dive of the day, the manta rays left and were replaced with hammerhead sharks. They showed up and entertained the divers with their beauty and elegance in the water. The hammerhead school circled around and passed us again and again.
You can’t ask for more on your first day in Socorro Island. Everyone felt so amazed and grateful for these encounters.
