Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2021-04-16

Location: Fundeadero

Started the day with a 0730 dive briefing and 0800 check out dive at Fundeadero. Check out is hardly the words, for diving with dolphins and hammerheads right off the bat. Visibility not fantastic but not bad, around 15 meters. After the check out dive we moved the UnderSea up to the Boiler. With a briefing at 1030 and dive shortly there after. The passengers, had a moment with mantas, hammerheads and dolphins swimming with them at the same time. Dolphin chasing jacks, and mantas cruising around the surface. Visibility is better at around 25-30 meters and very moderate current. Top side conditions are winds up to 12-15 knots and sea surface state 2-3ft windswell, with an underlying 5ft south swell. Planning to finish the day here at the boiler with 2 more dives, then return to the canyon for Taco Night and dive the Canyon tomorrow. After the Canyon tomorrow, planning to head to Socorro Island for Cabo Pearce with the navy check in and Silky Snorkel at Punta Tosca. That night planning to disembark for Roca Partida and spend Monday and Tuesday there diving. All guests and crew doing great!
