This trip has been really good so far. Starting at El Fondeadero in San Benedicto Island for the checkout dive, we went down to 50ft but there was some swell, forcing us to go to deeper water. The visibility improved around 20 minutes into the dive which gave us the opportunity to see so much more life. We had lobsters scuttling along the rocks, whitetip sharks gliding alongside us, electric rays hanging out on the sand and in an instant, three adult dolphins and a baby passed by us. There were also some Galapagos sharks looking for the school of bait that was close by.
We’re now heading to The Canyon for our second dive of the day.
