Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2021-05-19

Location: Roca Partida (18.59.290N – 112.04.803W)

Anchored in 240ft. The day started cloudily, but now the sun is out. Diving has been really good, loads of fish in Roca Partida. The highlight so far has been the schools of jack and the torpedos (yellowfin tunas). They just zip between the jack trying to get an easy meal. The sharks are here, Galapagos, some hammers silkies and lots of silvertip sharks. Divers are enjoying the dives. The weather forecast is off a little as waves are bigger and the swells are closer to each other. The current is mild, the surge is big but, not an issue. Water visualization today averaged 80Ft, the temperature is 76, and same as air, and the wind is blowing a good 10 kts NW.
