Today we spent the day at Cabo Pearce, Socorro Island. We had a day full of amazing interactions with manta rays. All four dives we had manta rays playing with our bubbles. On the second dive, we back-rolled into the water and started our descent. As soon as we got to 20ft/6m we spotted a chevron manta ray. She stayed with us during the whole dive. Everyone had their own manta ray moment. At some point, the manta ray was covered in clarion angelfish cleaning her. It’s so amazing to see an army of these fish working hard to keep the manta ray clean.
We still have a few days of diving left but so far, we have already ticked almost all the boxes for marine life encounters.
