Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2021-08-12

Location: Guadalupe Island

Weather: Overcast, Light Wind and SSE Swell (3-4ft)

We arrived at the anchorage last night around 9:00pm. Today, we have been getting great looks at sharks. As soon as we started throwing bait we had two individuals in the area making frequent passes. Surface and submersible cages have all gotten very close looks. My count for the morning is three individuals total so far. A great first morning. Hoping that some current comes along in the afternoon to clear out the visibility a bit.

Visibility: 40-60ft

Water Temperature: 70°F
