Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2021-08-17

Location: Guadalupe Island

Today has been another great day full of great white shark action – they are literally everywhere!

We had to cut some tuna to use as bait and the sharks came around just a few minutes after we started cutting it. The highlight of the morning so far has been a pod of bottlenose dolphins going back and forth between us and the island; not close enough for the divers to see them underwater though. At first the sharks were not really going crazy like they did yesterday but as time went by they were becoming more active.

Yesterday some of the divers were pretty excited about a turtle they saw and just before our famous taco night on the top deck a chevron manta ray made a couple of loops around the boat.
