What an experience! I spent the majority of my twenties doing field research in marine sciences and sharks have always been a passion in my life. So, needless to say, great white sharks were at the top of the bucket list. I was concerned I had set my expectations too high, but it blows my mind how far this surpassed my wildest dreams.
The crew is amazing, from the in house and kitchen staff (yes the food is fantastic!), to the dive team, the captain and boat crew, everyone truly went above and beyond to assist with anything we needed and they nearly always did it with a sense of humor and warmth. The sharks are everywhere and they are incredibly fascinating to observe. It was also great to have an onboard shark specialist who had also worked in the marine sciences field and had clearly studied their behavior. I appreciate all the crew members letting me pick their brains and ask my shark nerd questions. It honestly added to my personal experience.
I will 100% be back and will probably make this a bi-annual trip. Thanks to everyone who helped make this so special and again, I can’t say enough good things about this crew and the entire experience.
