Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2021-09-05

Location: Guadalupe Island

Weather: Clear Sky, No Wind and Calm Sea

Is a beautiful day, there is not a single cloud in the sky, the sun is shining, guests are happy. It took us almost a full hour to get the first shark of the trip, now is a non-stop shark action, I can count 5 sharks circling my bait at the same time.

Our guests were amazed by the sharks, some of them had never been in the water with a regulator, Divemasters are doing a good job at explaining and building their confidence so they feel comfortable in the water.

Today I changed my mind, I always thought having more boats with us was actually a good thing as I believed the more bait in the water the more sharks, but today Guadalupe is only for us, there are no other boats around and the shark action is crazy and they are here in big numbers. We already recognized two of them, we have seen Mace and Horizon both sharks are big and fast we stand no chance.

Water Temperature: 73°F

Visibility: 100ft+
