Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2021-10-17

Location: San José Bay

Weather: Sunny Skies, Light Wind, and N Swell (2ft)

We finished yesterday anchored in San Jose Bay south end and did a night dive at el cayo de San José, although only 3 divers went, it was very good.

It was a beautiful sunset there and a couple of guests had a sunset kayak while the rest drank wine on the sundeck.

This morning we departed at 0530 to come to Las Animas, arrived at 0730, and have done two dives so far. Beautiful conditions, 100ft plus viz, water temp 26C, a couple of hammerheads around, playful sea lions, lots of fish. I had been hoping to spend two days at Las Animas but the wind is going to pick up in this area tomorrow, so trying to figure out where to dive for the next two days. The last two days will be at Espiritu Santo.

Water temperature: 79°F

Visibility: 100ft
