Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2021-10-28

Location: Guadalupe Island

Weather: Clear Skies, Light Wind (4kts), and Swell (2ft)

We arrived at the anchorage at 0430 this morning and set the hook down in extremely calm conditions. No wind, no seas and that is how the conditions have continued for the morning. Absolutely perfect, like the storm never even existed.

We had cages in the water and everything ready to go by sunrise and our first shark made an appearance around 0700. A very large female is very interested in our operation. About half of our group got the chance to see her from the surface cages before we even got to the submersible schedule times. Well worth the wait is what I’m hearing.

Visibility: 40ft+

Water temperature: 65°F
