Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-03-18

Location: Roca Partida

Weather: Clear Skies, Light N Breeze (4-8kts), N Swell (6ft)

Yesterday we did the boiler, dive 3 with a medium current to the N, mantas, and more mantas, around five mantas were playing with our divers all dive long, some big Galapagos on the deep, Whitetips two turtles, and two or three hammerheads.

Last dive same conditions but quiet, no manta action, just at the end the last 10 minutes one manta appear to say goodbye to our guests. Today we are in Roca Partida, we arrive early and drop the anchor, strong current to the SE, one manta at the end of the first dive with two guests for 10 minutes, lots of reef life, no shark presence, just a few whitetips, one hammerhead. Second dive same conditions with a strong current to the SE. The current didn’t allow the divers to go around the rock, just a few whitetips, one silky, some Galapagos, and Silvertips but very deep. The same chevron manta appears to say hello on the safety stop with one group.
