Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2022-04-12

Location: The Canyon

Weather: Partially Clear Skies, WNW Wind (8-14kts), Calm Seas

Yesterday we did our last dives a the boiler, great action, and interaction with the mantas, four or five mantas and they were very friendly with our divers. After dives, we moved to The Canyon to have a nice taco night protected from the wind.

No current during our first dive at the canyon and the sharks were present, lots of Galapagos and silvertips on the cleaning station, a few spread hammerheads from the manta rock to the station, one group could see a big school of hammerheads and a different group could see a big school of yellowfin tuna. Second dive conditions were the same with no current. Lots of sharks on this dive, silky, Galapagos, silvertip, whitetips, one black tip, and some playful mantas, around three mantas were with our divers for 15 -20 minutes.

Water temperature: 74°F

Visibility: 82ft
