Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-05-10

Location: Roca Partida

Weather: Clear Skies, N Wind (6-10kts), N Swell (5-6ft)

Yesterday we finish our dives at the boiler, the third dive we saw the dolphins again, a group of three bottlenose dolphins was playing with our divers, also one chevron mantas join to the moment, all dive long we were enjoying the company of one chevron manta, the last dive was a little quieter, two chevron mantas were there, also some whitetips, a couple of Galapagos and two spread hammerheads.

Today we are in Roca, first dive with a strong current to the E, beautiful dive, mantas are here for lots, five or six mantas were circling the area, some of them very friendly getting really close to our divers, some Galapagos, a few silvertips, and school of small yellowfin tunas and bonitos. Second dive mantas were still friendly, four or five different mantas were there, a few hammerheads and the rock star a juvenile whale shark around 4 meters long. Today definitely is amazing and we have two more dives to do.
