Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-06-29

Location: The Boiler

Weather: Overcast Skies, N Light Breeze, Calm Seas

Yesterday we did our last two dives at the canyon, nice dive with lots of sharks, silvertips, Galapagos, one dusky shark, a few hammerheads, lots of yellowfin tunas on the last dive, and one manta in the distance.

Today we moved early in the morning, our first dive here on the boiler with a strong current to the S, two or three mantas on the first dive, people love it, they were not so friendly or playful but they pass around more than 3 times, also on the first dive they could see some octopuses, big lobsters, lots of jacks and fish, some white tips, Galapagos and a few hammerheads in the distance. In the second dive light current to the S, visibility improved. One manta in the distance for all the divers, but just in the middle of the dive, appears 3 bottlenose dolphins, two adults with one baby, they stay around 20 min with almost all the divers, also they could see some white tips, silkies, silvertips, Galapagos and a few hammerheads in the distance.

Water temperature: 75°F

Visibility: 40-65ft
