Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-06-30

Location: San Benedicto

Weather: Overcast Skies, Light Breeze, Calm Seas

Yesterday we did our last two dives at the boiler, great dives with good manta action, mantas were very playful and friendly on these dives, also there were around four or five mantas around our divers, also some Galapagos, a few spread hammerheads, and one group could see a tiger shark.

Today we are diving the north point of San Benedicto, really nice conditions, medium current to the E. On the first dive we had a couple of mantas, and lots of reef fish, was a relaxing dive, all the action start just at the end and was on the surface, around six or seven mantas were feeding all around the boat, and people jump to snorkel and take pictures, was a really good show. The second dive was the best of the trip at the moment, with lots and lots of mantas, all the divers could see the mantas, two groups just stay static on the same place and all dive long they were surrounded by the mantas, same dive conditions, light current to the E, just right now a few guests are snorkeling with the mantas.

Water temperature: 73°F

Visibility: 50-60ft
