Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-09-06

Location: San Jose Island

Weather: Clear Skies, E Wind (5-8kts), Calm Seas

Yesterday after we finished with our night dive at the Corralito, we departed to Las Animas, everything was good but in the middle of the early morning around 0430 am started raining, the wind speed increased, gusts were around 25 kts SE and the sea rise around 5 ft SE, so I decided to find shelter in the San Jose Island at W and we are in la Lobera. We started diving at 0900 hrs, the dive was good, we could see a couple of sea lions, and many reef fish. When we picked up our guests the sea lions who were resting on the rock started jumping into the water very close to our guests so we snorkeled with them.

At this moment our divers are diving again and as soon as we finish with the dive we are going to pick up the anchor and we are going to sail directly to Espiritu Santo Island.
