NGl is currently between the north point of Cerralvo island and La Reina, looking for wildlife. The weather is beautiful, with a light wind from the north and the swell is 1′ from the north too.
This morning we were greeted by a first pod of about 30 bottlenose dolphins as we approached Punta Perico. They were playing with the boat, and the guests enjoyed the early show. We followed with a snorkel briefing and just after we entered the channel of Cerralvo we found a massive pod of bottlenose dolphins, hundreds of them. They got really excited by the wake of the NGL and displayed all their grace and power in acrobatic leaps out of the water.
After enjoying them from the bow of the NG, we transferred the guests to the Rhib so they could enjoy them from the water. All the guests had an amazing time, with the dolphins passing very close and very curious. Guest Kelly told me she squeaked at the dolphins and they squeaked back, she is a fast learner of dolphin language!
They were on the Rhib for about 2 hours, also observing mobula, turtles, and bait balls.
