Today we have a current running to the east, visibility is reported to be 110 plus feet, with a water temperature of 75F.
Big 4ft swell NW long period and 3ft wind waves also NW

In our very first dive of the week, conditions were good for those who did the swim. Divers plunged into the water after the last buddy check and visibility was around 25ft with lots of silt in the water. The swell on the NW point was a bit wild and the fact that the current was light, this silt stays in the water column for a long time so the divers had to deal with it.

But one of the groups went for a longer swim and they found nice clear blue water there. Life was abundant with the leather bass school leading some kind of reef patrolling looking for something to eat along with other fish that joined the search.

Then they found an octopus, a few chevron mantas went by followed by a black manta. Soon they saw a hammerhead shark and two dolphins and just as they started to come up to do their safety stop a tiger shark went by. The checkout dive was amazing. The divers had no issue on the warm up dive so we decided to come to the Boiler and with the good conditions underwater, they all had a good dive. Mantas came and went, another tiger shark passed by, a Galapagos, then the white tip reef sharks were all over the place. There were more mantas right and left.

The divers were amazed that the first day of diving was so good and we still had two more to go.
