Captain’s Noon Reports – Undersea – 2023-04-15

18.46.389N – 110.54.401W anchor in 100Ft of water.

We are diving Cabo Pearce is our second day here. The diving has been very good and the guests are happy with the dives.

Yesterday on the fourth dive a small group of divers got to see the humpback whale underwater and they were really very happy. Just now I had to stop writing as a mother whale and calf were coming to the surface for air just a few yards away from our bow. They kept surfacing and most guests got to see them. Now they are very excited about them again and want to get back in the water as soon as possible.

The skies are getting clear now and the first dive was easy with no current. Dolphins came around again, mantas were present, and some of the guests got lucky and saw a couple of hammerheads. The second dive was good, the mantas were getting cleaned but the current picked up in the middle of the dive and some had problems staying on the site.
