Anchored Isla Socorro at Cabo Pearce
Winds N 10-12knts, seas 2-3′, skies clear, air temp 77F, In water visibility 50-80′, variable current, water temp 74F

We completed our navy inspection and made it to Cabo Pearce in time for one more dive yesterday afternoon. Conditions were pretty challenging for this group, with a very strong current to the north. But everybody had a good dive and mantas were present throughout giving close encounters.

We stayed the night at anchor and have done two more dives here at Pearce today so far. Both have been fantastic. There was a bit of current running north on dive one, but it had completely died down by dive two. From the surface, at one point I counted 12 mantas, and the reports from below are that they are everywhere. Mantas all dive long. On dive number two a couple of the groups got to see a tiger shark, and others saw a school of around 50 hammerheads.

Everybody is thrilled with the dives today. We will do two more dives here and then likely run up to San Ben tomorrow.
