Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-05-07

Currently in front of Punta Arena de la Ventana. The wind is northerly 10kts, with 2′ swell, and overcast skies. Air temp 28C.

Got underway from Cabo at 2100hrs and smooth transit north, arriving around Punta arenas by 0730. The wind picked up this morning from the north so we’ve spent the morning in the shelter of Bahia de Los Muertos. The wind is dropping out now.

Fairly quiet for most of the morning for animals but guests have been out in the RHIB since 09:30 after doing the dive safety briefing. They have gotten in the water with their first mobulas about 40 minutes ago and are still out there trying.

The plan for this afternoon is to search the west Cerralvo channel and then anchor overnight at Saltito.
