Captain’s Noon Reports – Undersea – 2023-05-08

NUS Anchored at 18 46. 3N-110 54.3W, at 95 ft depth, the sky is partly cloudy, northerly wind 15 knots and gusts to 20 knots, long period 4 ft swell, air temperature 76F.

Two dives, better visibility of 60 ft on the north side than on the south side which is 10ft. The water temperature of 73F, and a light current to the east. In the two dives at least 8 mantas have been seen, a school of more than 20 hammerhead sharks and a school of dolphins. Yesterday the last dive at Tosca conditions changed and visibility decreased but some mantas played with the divers. Plan for Roca Partida tomorrow.
