Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-05-12

Good afternoon,

NEX anchored at San Benedicto, NW wind 10-15 knots and 2 ft wrapping swell in the anchorage. We arrived here last night around 2200 and our guests had a quiet night as the vessel stopped moving and they did get some rest.

This morning we started our day with check dive and all went well. During the check dive guests saw a manta passing by, a few white tips, and lots of fish and lobsters. Dive number 2 was done at the Canyon. There were lots of sharks on the cleaning station, many species, hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, white tips, silver tips, some scattered tuna fish, clarion angel fish, and much more. Dive 3 is beginning and after dinner, we will go to Socorro and dive Cabo Pearce tomorrow.
