Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-05-13

Anchor at San Benedicto, Canyon, Winds: N 14 -16 knots sometimes gust around 19 knots, Seas: NW 1-2ft short period of swell.

Yesterday we arrived in San Benedicto at 2300. We spent the night at anchor and in the morning, we started with our warm-up dive. There were no issues during this 1st dive, just a couple of guests has to adjust their weights again and that’s it. For the 2nd one, we dove at the Canyon. It was a beautiful dive, a couple of chevron mantas swimming around, there were a lot of sharks there, silver tips,  many hammerheads not in a school but we saw them many times, a lot of Galapagos sharks and some silky sharks around.

The dive conditions are good, with light current from the W to the E and visibility around 45 ft. We are going to perform 2 more dives at the Canyon tomorrow after which we are going to the Boiler for another amazing day.
