Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-05-13

Good afternoon, everyone

NEX is anchored at Socorro Island and diving is at Cabo Pearce. We have strong wind NNW gusting 20 knots plus, 5 ft seas outside the finger, and 2 ft wrapping swell inside.

We have done 2 dives so far and will have another 2. Both dives had been good. During dive one, 2 groups had the chance to see a pod of dolphins, a few mantas, white-tip sharks, lobsters, and lots of fish. On the second dive, we had more manta action but this time the dolphins were not there.

The water temperature is 23. 5 Celsius and visibility is 15-18 meters.
